MECHANICAL REMOTE CONTROLS 703 SINGLE ENGINE SIDE MOUNT


Designed with broad compatibility in mind, this remote control can be fitted to almost every boat type and is compatible with almost every engine in the Yamaha Outboard range. The 703 delivers all of the basic control functions and open throttle can also be configured in either the push or pull direction. It can be used both at right side or left side configuration.

• Separates over 99% of water, the main enemy of your outboard motor.
• Full plastic body ensures that the bowl will not become stuck due to electric corrosion or rust, making filter replacements easy.
• Large capacity type for holding up to 215 cc of water. Regular type has a capacity of 60 cc.
• Highly visible float and see-through bowl allow you to check the water level with just a glance.
• Two large capacity types are available: a 10 μm filter type (4-stroke and 2-stroke HPDI/FI models) or a 25 μm filter type (2-stroke carburetor models). Regular type is available only with a 10 μm filter.

SALTWATER SERIES II – SDS


A powerful choice for today’s larger offshore boats, Saltwater Series II propellers are a highlypolished, larger diameter design. Aggressive rake and extra cupping on the blades provide superior midrange fuel efficiency, along with excellent anti-ventilation characteristics. For offshore fishermen, that translates to longer cruising range and better handling in rough seas. Also available with the Yamaha Shift Dampener System (SDS).

SALTWATER SERIES HS4 – SDS


A polished stainless steel propeller with 4 blades, for certain V6 4-stroke engines. Compared with the conventional 3-bladed propeller, the 4-blade configuration has a larger blade surface area, which can catch much more water and obtain higher thrust performance. As a result, this propeller will obtain better acceleration and be more stable in operation under rough water.
However, top speed performance is generally slightly less than a 3-blade design. L/H rotation propellers are available.

2800cc Four-Cylinder Engine


The 16 valve, 2.8 litre, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) layout with its increased cylinder capacity and large valves, results in optimum valve actuation, resulting in improved valve timing, acceleration and overall running performance.

Digital Network Gauges


This engine is compatible with Yamaha’s Digital Network Gauges, including the top-of-the-line Command Link Plus system, giving you the information needed to maximise engine performance and efficiency. This engine is also NMEA2000 compatible with third party multi-function displays, GPS and fish finders.

Direct Ignition


The direct ignition system, with plug cap and ignition coil, provides higher reliability and increased performance.

Electronic Throttle Valve


The electronic throttle valve provides sure and more precise valve opening and closing according to each engine temperature and atmospheric condition. This system works in tune with the fuel injection and ignition systems, to deliver incredible response and exceptional fuel economy.

High Output Alternator


This alternator delivers more power: 50 amps at wide open throttle, producing a full 22 amps at only 600 rpm which means there is sufficient output to keep charging the battery even at low RPM.

Offset Crankshaft


The crankshaft design is offset 10mm from the centre of cylinder for more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.

Shift Dampener System


Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System (SDS) propellers greatly reduce the noise associated with shifting an engine in and out of gear by absorbing the forces generated when forward and reverse gears are engaged.

Variable Camshaft Timing


The Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) advances and retards the camshaft timing according to the engine RPMs. This in combination with the electronically controlled single throttle valve system and long intake manifold boosts low and mid-range torque for optimum acceleration.

Variable Trolling Control


Yamaha’s variable trolling control allows the skipper to precisely adjust the engine’s idling speed from 650 to 900 RPM in 50 RPM increments. The ability to finely tune the trolling speed allows fisherman to perfect their lure presentation when chasing different species of fish.
